Description:
Jerita-M is a combination medication used to treat type 2 diabetes. It contains two active ingredients:
- Sitagliptin: Belongs to a class of drugs called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. It works by increasing the amount of insulin produced by the body and decreasing the amount of sugar produced by the liver.
- Metformin: Belongs to a class of drugs called biguanides. It works by decreasing the amount of sugar produced by the liver and improving the body’s sensitivity to insulin.
This combination of medications can help to lower blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes.

Jerita-M is commonly prescribed for the following condition:
- Type 2 Diabetes: To lower blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes.
Dosage and Administration:
The usual dose of Jerita-M is one tablet taken once or twice daily, with or without food. The duration of treatment depends on the condition being treated.
