Each Cefrasul 1g vial contains Cefoperazone (as Sodium) 500mg and Sulbactam (as Sodium) 500mg.

Description:

Cefrasul 1g Injection is a combination antibiotic medication used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It contains two active ingredients: Cefoperazone and Sulbactam. Cefoperazone belongs to a class of drugs called cephalosporins, and Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination works by killing bacteria that cause infections and preventing them from becoming resistant to the antibiotic.  

Uses:

Cefrasul 1g Injection is commonly prescribed for the following conditions:

• Respiratory tract infections: Such as pneumonia and bronchitis.
• Urinary tract infections (UTIs): Infections of the bladder and kidneys.
• Skin and skin structure infections (SSSI): Infections of the skin and soft tissues, such as cellulitis and abscesses.  
• Sepsis: A serious blood infection.
• Intra-abdominal infections: Infections within the abdomen.  

Dosage and Administration:

The usual dose of Cefrasul 1g Injection is administered intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM) by a healthcare professional. The dosage and duration of treatment depend on the type and severity of the infection.  

Precautions:

• Inform your doctor about any allergies, other medications you are taking, and any underlying medical conditions.
• Cefrasul can interact with certain medications, such as anticoagulants and loop diuretics.
• Avoid alcohol consumption while taking Cefrasul.
• If you experience any side effects, consult your doctor immediately.
